its sad indeed but lol i think it was because of the excessive hyperbole in the heading "Ridiculously Lavish" "Insane Production Values"

its an arcade/xbl game(not technically indie i think, though thats kind of a genre now too)
not a james cameron movie

so i replayed the game and just finshed it 2 days ago.
my evaluation.
visuals -8/10 hasnt aged well but world design is breath taking
sound 9.5/10- pretty much amazing soundtrack throughout.only complaint is the best tracks are used to little .
lasting appeal-8.5/10 30-40 hours story with tons of side content,granted a lot of it is simply simply fetch quests.
gameplay-6.5/10 combat is the major drawback.actually 7.5/10
+1 for the intuitiveness....

im gonna be honest
i was totally disappointed when i first heard barry say something other than 'jill sandwitch'

so 12k project cars will cost you more than an actual fkn car.

warrior within is one of the best games ever made,
although i wouldnt exactly call it linear, it had plenty backtracking.

gears of war 2 is a far better example.
super linear & cinematic and of of the best tps ive ever played
and i played it for the set pieces and story and not the gameplay.
not a fan of military shooters

you dont even know how it plays for god's sake.
all weve seen are basic 'attack' commands
no magic
no techs
to co op attacks
no summons
no limit breaks
nothing
theres going to be a battle tutorial stream in feb and a playable demo in march.
come back after that and say the same

i dunno about others , but im willing to bet eurogamer is filled with die hard xbots
even their tech department ie.e digital foundry, while doing the tech analysis, stop doing the tech analysis and started on how games need to innovate and how the order sucks at that.isnt commenting on the tech literally their jobs?

shareplay, remoteplay, playgo, ps now are all excellent features that just arent marketed well enough.
none of the competing consoles have anything similar

as generic and boring these journos think the game is, they sure do love writing about it

we get it pc is superior. more money->more power.
youre getting disagrees because youre trying to shove it in the console owners face by saying a PC that cost god knows how much outperformed a $400 console that they bought by a few fps.
