Gotta say I agree with BenzMoney on this - the whole article seems biased towards Sony and why would you have to buy all of that stuff? There was no research that showed what most gamers buy or use. I have both a PS3 and an X360... The PS3 (80 GB) I have never used the BR player (except maybe once to see it) - research has also shown that 75% have never even used it, I have never used the wireless connection... too unreliable still. X360 - Never needed wireless, haven't needed more that 2 ...
Isn't it funny how when the 360 first came out everyone complained that it wouldn't be backwards compatible with all of the Xbox games and that it didn't come completely compatible out of the box... Even the SONY FANBOYS jumped all over it and touted that the PS3 was backwards compatible. WHERE ARE ALL OF THOSE SONY BOYS NOW??
3 Year Warranty against the RROD - that's what the majority of the consoles are breaking down from. Within that time frame M$ will have the new 65nm chips out and they'll soon be retrofitting repaired Xboxes with them to eliviate the issue... sounds like a good deal to me. In addition I purchase the 2 Year Extended Warranty, so I'm good for 3 Years on most issues and 5 Years against the RROD.
Okay - I'll admit that I only own an Xbox and Xbox 360 - I can't stand Sony as a company - I think they have great products but are way more expensive than comparable products. So call me a fanboy if you wish but this is so not a fanboy reaction...
Yes its obvious there are hardware issues with the 360. Who cares, now theres a 3 year warranty basically saying that if anything happens to my Xbox I'm guaranteed a repair/replacement tack on the 2 year extension I bought and I've got 5 y...
Seriously, another "video games are bad for you" study. I bet they didn't even study whether or not these "alcohol" and "drug" users were doing these things before they got a game console - - I believe theres a lot of it, but myself and my friends don't; a lot of my XBL friends sound/act like they do and I'd be willing to bet they would all say they were doing this long before they started playing video games (or at least that VGs weren't the cause)
