Probably because it was confirmed by the devs looks and play better than Gear. Plus FPS > 3rd person shooters (imo) and the PS3 verison gets mods and keyboard and mouse support and they don't.
Last time I did that it was with a TOW on the enemy's flag. T'was a good round.
