I liked the Super Meat Boy demo, but also thought it was just N+ with humor added. Not that MORE N+ is a bad thing... I just never beat it, so I might as well go back to that rather than spend my money on SMB.
Great review here, though!
You do know this piece isn't saying that the DS or Wii is going to go away, right?
I find it a bit funny how little time anyone has taken to consider what these disk-based rereleases mean. I thought Sony was going to put the PS2 library on PSN for download. What happened there? Is this a statement on the state of online sales and the health of the digital space, at least on consoles?
While the God of War Collection was a fine package, I did feel like the upgrades were a bit on the thin side. Sure, the game was in high def, but the lower definition cut scene...
I'm not saying there should be more regulation- I am saying that more parents should take responsibility and get informed.
I actually think we agree a lot more than you think we do. I think the only way we disagree is that I do think games can raise aggression, but I don't believe they should be regulated. Parents just need to be aware and engaged in their children's lives.
PS- I had to reply here because it wouldn't let me reply to your last pos...
I think you comment is fair, but if you read the piece it says that, while gaming is not to blame for school shootings and individual murders, that it has enough of an effect that parents should be more aware than they are.
I completely agree that it is hard to pin one bad thing as the cause of violence, but if I had to pick major causes I would put many causes in front of video games.
Since he still works for Activision I seriously doubt he could talk about the legal/staffing situation right now.
This is one of my favourite pieces here lately! It was succinct, interesting and well-thought-out. I really love that you didn't feel the need to pad the piece with a million extra points and instead present and back up a supposition and then leave the rest for the reader to think about.
"The more choices a person has, the less satisfied they become when the outcome is not a perfect recreation of what they wanted." -- You really nailed it with this line.

As the guy who wrote this article, I would like to thank you guys for taking the time to read it. Even if you do mostly hate it! Ha!
I didn't write this piece as an attempt to just bash Sony or their controller. The only reason I wrote it is because Bitmob is asking their contributors to write about controllers. I thought this would be an interesting examination of my opinion on the comparison between the two.
I make no claims that my opinion is more right than what...
I really want to try this game out, but there is no way I am spending $60 on it.
