Firefox FTW !

The same claim is made by Mozilla, Firefox will use less RAM in the long-term. You don't believe me? Google it :)

Grab your favorite calculator and see for yourself :)

Add the memory consumption of all Chrome processes.

I used Firefox fully loaded with all sorts of add-ons to open 3 tabs.
I used a bare Chrome to open the same 3 tabs.

Result:
Firefox 63,000 k
Chrome 71,000 k
(not sure about the zeros in there because I didn't really give them a look , imagine any number)

I know that Chrome uses less memory than most browsers, but no...

Chrome uses a distinct process for every tab. If you have 3 tabs open, you will have 4 processes: 1 for the main browser and 3 for the tabs. Having said that means that the process for the main browser will surely use less memory than FF because it doesn't count the memory consumption of the tabs. If you open 10 tabs in Chrome you will have 11 processes and if you add up the memory used by all Chrome processes you will definitely see that Chrome uses more memory that Firefox.

You can't compare 2 browsers on 2 different machines, probably one of them is ridden and minced and the other is clean. Not to mention the hardware specs. Firefox might win if they switch rigs.

Chrome will never have AdBlock Plus (because it makes money out of ads)

I use Firefox and I love Firefox.

FF FTW!

I MISS ADBLOCK PLUS
Other than that, I have to say it's a nice finished browser indeed.

It's well done, but no add-ons = sucks.

Firefox has an unparalleled extension system and millions of add-ons.

A browser with no "AdBlock Plus" is worth nothing, that's why I use Firefox.

Yes, and because it's open source, Mozilla can use Chrome's code and vice versa. It will be good for collaboration. It will be good for the users :)
