this drive is a collector guys for a good price.
Insomniac are independent of course and I think, they can develop as well for Wii or xbox 360. But I don't think they will go on 360 or multiplatform so easily.
2008 is another year for the ps3. PS3 outsells xbox 360 in europe and japan, now it outsells the xbox 360 in US. It's a real surprise.
I like the ratchet and clank franchise, it's fun. I almost bought a psp only for this game. So that's cool it's coming on ps2.

4 ps3 titles in the top 10. that's an improvement for SONY. But the amount of nintendo software is huge, far away from Sony software. Nintendo rule Japan

It's more and less the same story as the PS2. It's always the same thing when the architectures, the technologies change. The beginning is not really amazing (the car with the first explosion engine were not faster as the steam engine vehicles), then you learn how to use the new tool and doing very quick improvement. Totally agree with you. The developer were confident with the old platform, why to stop them when they still have some potential to develop nice games (cf God of War). The ps2 cost few money for Sony and still have a lot of games and still have a good sale.
Microsoft did something wrong when they stop the xbox. They can't make extra profit. Ok in Japan the xbox didn't succeed here, but for the rest of the world, they could make good money.
3 PS3 games in the japanese top ten. That's a premiere, that's an outstanding result for the ps3. That's never happened so far I remenber.

The ps2 is still alive. It's still doing well. It's not ready to died.
Yes I did as well, It was not that bad, But the paddle or the chatpad are not as efficient as the keyboard and mouse.
On my opinion there is a market for the RTS on the console especially if this console allow to play with a keyboard.
They are talking too much, I'd rather to see them working and finishing games running well on xbox 360 and PS3. And WII too.
The end of 2007 show great exclusive games (Ratchet, Uncharted) and show we can have multiplatform games with the same quality as the xbox 360 (COD4). UT3 is doing well too.
Now the publisher, the developers knows it's possible to do good game on PS3 and with the good sale of ps3, they will have an interest to make good and nice game at last. Even EA change once idea about the PS3.
The PS3 as the less expensive blu-ray player might have a little contribution in the sale too.

Best game of the ps3 so far. It's look like a movie. It's directed like a movie. Naughty Dog did an amazing work. The graphics are great the animation are brilliant. there is an outstanding animation. The character have a lot expressions and look like alive. The music is doing its job like in the movie. And the score is good.
Naughty Dog and Insomniac have shown and opened the way to develop game on ps3 with no Unreel Engine III.
Well done for sony. It was a tough fight (It's not over, But sony is alive, and Nintendo is leading). a lot of people have seen the fall of sony with the ps3 since the beginning of the sale, Because the xbox 360 shown good stuff at the end of it's first year of life. But The reliability and despite a good catalog, sony went through
But Sony is looking like more a marathon man. Build to last.
