Is Fortnite greedy? Apex Legends? I'd say so and yet, still the top games ever made and aren't going away anytime soon.
Like it or not Fortnite and Apex Legends make more money than any other game out there. Live Service prints money IF its done well. This is a very smart move for Sony to invest in live service.

Hard to imagine? Its quite the opposite, Sony have been holding back showing their full hand for years now. Its incredibly easy and just about guaranteed they have a multitude of unannounced major projects to show.
Fear of disappointment is pretty much the reason why we don't have Half Life 3. Player expectations just make it impossible to make no matter what they do.
