I find it interesting that this article claims the time limit is something wanted by fans. I personally have always wanted them to remove the time limit and recall that being one of the 'fan feedback' changes to 3 (even though it did still have a time limit just a bit softer one). I don't care for the time limit but the OPTION to have one probably should not be DLC for fans who do happen to want it.

Petitions are not useless, if a business sees a large number of people wanting a show, and in an IP like star wars, they see money. Money for them is usually means/motivation to start creating.

I don't know that I buy that. Even if them not acting on potential infringements can be harmful I am certain there are other ways to tackle the situation such as a special use license if they actually wanted to allow it.

And how does "they dont want to pull people from ESO till its run its course to start developing ES6" imply that bethesda made ESO? I read just fine, that statement simply doesn't imply that. Could bethesda NOT be waiting until ESO ran its course before THEY (bethesda) open up the series again? Nowhere in that statment does it suggest that bethesda developed ESO, you took it to that place yourself.

Where under the comment that you replied to did anyone say anything relating to bethesda developing eso? Nothing said even remotely implies this. Both bethesda and zenimax online studios are under the same publishing umbrella, it doesn't matter if bethesda didnt make eso it could be a decision made at the publisher level (not saying it is, just that the concept is sound).

There are new things coming out all the time, from your attitude I would guess you don't play any of them. There is room and a need for both new titles and sequels on the market, don't limit it to one or the other.

I don't really care about this issue (its purely cosmetic so does it really matter that much to anyone?) but am I missing something? Did they not say that battlefield 1 was an ALTERNATE timeline world war 1? Why does everyone keep trying to argue historical accuracy for a history that doesn't exist (again, alternate reality).

Are you saying that people shouldn't argue a point? Cause it seems like you make the suggestion that anyone whom wants to argue a point is an angry white male that's extreme.

I agree with this sentiment... XI is actually my favorite game period, not just favorite mmo, not just favorite final fantasy, favorite game.

I did like SWTOR but for quite some time now I have held the opinion that it has just chronically fell notably short in many ways. I would rather see it be done and have resources and effort being put into it go into a fresh start (ideally a better SWTOR or just real sequel to the KOTOR series).

*sigh* Going to get down-voted to hell for this but I have to stand for it anyway.

I resent this notion and I resent the people in here that are so fervently down-voting dissenters while giving Naughty Dog inane amounts of un-due praise.

Naughty Dog is a talented developer, on a technical level. They manage to put out visually impressive and systematically complicated titles regularly with relatively solid launch states. Beyond that I just don't thi...

RPGs were selling well long before skyrim..... For example FInal Fantasy 7 was the second highest selling game for the first playstation system. I don't think its a matter of it being "en vogue", I think that there are certain addictive properties to rpg elements that businesses want to capitalize on (this has been explicitly stated by some developers, like bungie regarding destiny for example). Personally I love rpgs and do like to see rpg mechanics in other genres from time to...

Play it again side by side, it will probably surprise you. The normal walk speed in doom is noticeably slower than 2016. It feels like a speed somewhere in the middle between the base and sprint speeds.

3578d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

First off there aren't microtransactions supposedly (those multiplayer things are supposedly earned only and are not purchasable). Second when was the last time you played those games? This game might not be the fastest but its definitely faster than most and not really all that far behind doom 1 and 2 (its faster than those when not sprinting and maybe a bit slower than sprint speed). It also has a comparable base move speed to Quake 3 (base being just running speed).

I am not sure how buying it on ps4 rewards the developer more than buying it on PC does... Buying it is buying it (and they might even get a bigger cut on PC because of console licensing, not sure though). Just saying..
