Link is a character and he is a boy.
I don't care what Aonuma says about Link being a an avatar. Aonuma didn't create Link, Miyamoto did. Miyamoto based him on another boy, Peter Pan. Link is a character of his own even before Aonuma was assigned as the director on newer games.
Title is misleading.
Aonuma said nothing about turning Link into a girl. He said they'll make more playable female characters. That means new characters, not turning Link into a woman.
Aonuma can say whatever he wants of Link being an avatar or whatever, but he didn't create Link. The game's just passed on to him as a director. Miyamoto's design of Link was inspired from Peter Pan, a dude.

Wow if those non-important graphical details are the only compromises, I'd like to get more PS3 ports on the Vita like GTAV and MGSV.
That's why a GTAV port is cheaper than creating an exclusive GTA for it.
GTA V will do. Since it can run games like Borderlands 2, it doesn't need anymore half-assed low budget spin-offs just like the PSP.

The expectations of some people on the Vita is just too much.
They keep asking for exclusives. It's true that it's Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft responsibility to provide exclusives for their consoles, but not so much for third parties.
Third party games for the Vita should be the multiplatform games they release for consoles.
Do you really expect Activision to release a main-entry COD exclusive to let's say XBOX3...
