I have no idea where you are getting your numbers from.
The original Xbox sold 21 Million Life Time.
Xbox One released Nov 22 2013 so it has sold 20 Million in 2.5 years.
Xbox 360 sold a little over 80 Million in 10 years.
Xbox One right now is selling at the same pace as Xbox 360.
If it keeps selling 20 Million every 2.5 years it will sell 80 Million in 10 years just like Xbox 360.

What if next year Microsoft announces a VR that has better features and better quality then Vive, PSVR and Rift and is also cheaper?
I think its good to sit back and see what people like and dont like about VR first before jumping in.
