Certified meaning that the it's meant to work well with the PS3 naturally, meaning that your probably gonna get options that comes with your standard Divx players in the PS3.
Microsoft just activated code that would let you use Divx, and just put it out there like raw meat to dogs.

I hate Microsoft now. Mainly for the reason that I never got the chance to finish Saint's Row when it came out. Gears of war sat on my table hardly played. Microsoft cheated me out of a good gaming experience going through all that hassle to send back console after console.

How is the PS3 so damn dependent on GTA, when everyone and they grandma know that Rockstar themselves said if your gonna get GTA get it for the 360. That statement alone dropped GTA as being a console selling AAA title.
Sony has a great lineup of console selling titles on the way, and who knows what might happen with GTA after this delay, Rockstar may have found a loop hole with Microsoft's exclusive content deal.
