Cool! I live right near Edmonton; what have I got to lose by sending them an email?
Vigilante 8 was probably the game I played second most on my N64. Had a barbecue with three friends two weeks ago and we busted out the N64 and four controllers and played team matches in Vigilante 8 for two hours. The graphics have aged a bit, but the gameplay still rocks!
Please be true. Please!
All three are additions I've been waiting for since Rocksmith released its first DLC.
How can it say the hi-performance processor recommended for AMD is the Bulldozer FX-4150? I've heard time and again how the older quad-core Phenom processors are more powerful at similar frequencies. Am I missing something here?
Also to note, I do actually run an FX-4150 lol
It most certainly is. It'll be great to play through the single player with buddies; makes it a must-buy for me!
Siren was best until sniper got the ability to completely ignore shields, in my opinion.
Also, love your avatar!
@dericb11 Thanks for the advice! Admittedly though, I'm still thinking of going against my better judgement.
@scotchmouth I missed out on getting the afternoon shift this week, darn it!
@Pintheshadows Was my favourite moment from my favourite episode of Stargate SG-1! Also love your avatar; Data was one of my heroes for the longest time
First time I've preordered a game at a place that's doing a midnight release. Should I go? Is it really that exciting to warrant staying up before work in the morning?
Definitely; this "article" (or specifically, the reactions to it) are too good not to bookmark!
EDF! EDF!
Here's to hoping the campaign is longer and more varied than Insect Armageddon's, though.
Might be what it takes for me to get into casual gaming, ha!
Also agree, a Freelancer sequel would make me buy the next XBox for sure!
You will definitely need a better power supply. I have a 65 watt processor (yours is probably 90 or 100 watts draw) and only 4GB of RAM paired with my GT200 card (GTS 250 overclocked, to be specific) and the GTS250 recommends something like a 450 watt power supply with a combined 12V rail rating of 25 amps or greater.
Your 300 watt power supply may run a GT200 or Radeon 5xxx card but it may not last long before it goes up in smoke. If it goes up in smoke it might also take other...
I think the original article was read wrong is all. It reads "The Phoenix mod is an addon mod for Freelancer by Digital Anvil". I suspect they mean "is an addon mod for 'Freelancer by Digital Anvil'" as in that DA made FL, but not the mod. Digital Anvil no longer exists to the best of my knowledge. Still awesome that the game has an active modding community though.
I'm running Vista and 7 in a dual-boot laptop, with 7 on a separate partition. When I first started up 7, I couldn't see the Vista partition in My Computer. If that's your problem, it's just that 7 hasn't assigned a drive letter to the Vista partition.
Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management and in there you should be able to find a drive volume that's the same size as your Vista drive/partition, but it isn't labeled. Right...
My first NFS game was NFS3, and I thought, "Wow, this series ROCKS!" Then I bought NFS4 a few months later, and just about wet myself when I saw the 3D car interiors with working gauges with lights and stuff... even if it was NFS3 Special Edition in terms of added content. When I bought NFS6 (Hot Pursuit 2) I thought it was a good racer, but it lacked a lot of the options of earlier NFS games (like night driving, toggling headlights, car interiors, and weather). It still was an exce...
I do remember a news post on some website that was also posted right here on N4G about how Robert Clotworthy called up Blizzard to let them know that he was ready, willing and able to reprise his former role. Blizzard had and still has other plans.
Thanks for confirming, though.
I have to admit, if I ever get to playing Starcraft II, if they do not choose Clotworthy to voice Raynor, when I do see Raynor in-game I will not recognize him as the man I went through h...
I have several friends who own 360s. They have all had RROD happen to them, and they got so fed up with Microsoft's "support" that they just went out and bought a new 360. Wait a minute, BOUGHT a NEW one? Yep. No wonder the PS3 is behind in console sales.
Not that the PS3 doesn't have loads of issues. I still love the whole thing about the dualshock controllers being a thing of the past, 'cause Sixaxis is the way of the future! That one always is a good laugh for me.

How is it that so many people feel that Criterion Games has no place on that list? I figure they definitely deserve a place.
I mean, as far as a good game goes, lots and lots of players play Burnout: Paradise, and it has received some pretty good reviews. That's not enough to make a developer great, I know.
What sets Criterion apart is that since Paradise launched, it has received free updates that include even more features, even though the game was already more...
At least it made me chuckle a bit. I can see that some people are taking this WAY too seriously, especially because it's a joke. Lighten up, people, and enjoy it!
First car I customized, I lost out of Trevor's garage beside his trailer in Sandy. Spent a bunch on a BF Injection for offroad racing, came back to the garage after saving, and it was gone. Really annoying.
