the Medium setting comparison was from a really old build not even Bach remembered...Did you even read the article?
I speculate that since MS has an exclusive deal with EA on BF4, they are showing off the game out of a "Xbox One", and since the Exclusive BETA was set up to be shown at PAX, Sony had to show off a much older build at Gamescom.
Notice what Patrick Bach said when referring to the gamescom ps4 demo "I try to remember what it looked like back then," Bach adds. "To me it's back then! It has come a long way."

Screenshots look nice, but why are they 1280*720 ? For some reason I'm still not convinced the MP will run @ 1080p. But that's just my thought.

you don't get it do you...the demo shown was prepared months ago for gamescom meanwhile the game was progressing. In other words they didn't show the latest build by a long shot.
