I really wish this idiot wouldn't dodge all the replies like yours, and actually elaborate on his (never well thought out) articles. He's a fanboy troll folks, best we all just move-along and ignore his posts from now on.
I just hope they iron out the screen tearing and frame rate issues before the game comes out; I can not play MvC under those conditions, I don't think any serious player could either.
They probably don't want the more curious 'casuals' brought in from kinect to be put off from the indie game section.
M$ doesn't care about about gamers right now.
More like Enticing narrative until it gets WAY to cheesy way to fast, amazing facial animation(yup), superb acting that's badly directed, and mediocre-at best-design.
Ninja Theory almost got it right, maybe if they weren't so into themselves they would've caught on to the games obvious flawed presentation and tweaked it.
They're the type of company that screams, "we're artist, we want it that way. you just don't understand."
...
They absolutely were NOT turds, but that being said, when you take a good hard look at them they don't exactly scream justification of said $70 million either.
Still great games, I wish he would just make a Shenmue 3.
yup, otherwise they would have I'm sure.
yeah, they look less crazy in actual Japanese though. ww
the only way this would be remotely worth the drop in battery life is if you could output the video to a tv. 1080p on anything smaller than a 40" tv is unnecessary, and on a 4" screen it's just plain overkill and ridiculous.
everything about demon's souls is against the norm, even its success; nobody predicted it being such a massive hit. I wouldn't be surprised if dlc is literally impossible, since devs have to ready the game for it before hand. :\
go watch the trailer for project black, it's the same game engine! ..they're probably just tweaking it to emphasize co-op, it's a spin-off. they most likely want to keep all demon's souls main entries focused on single player. (more or less)
This.
FFX-2 was a pretty good game, but it's battle system was godly. Everyone would've praised that game had it used "Job Spheres" instead of "Dress Spheres." I think people were too homophobic to enjoy it, maybe even on a subconscious level...it was simply too girly for everyone.
from the trailer I saw it looks like it's using the same engine and sharing overall aesthetics. I think I even saw a knight wearing the same exact armor!
Agree, FFXIV is no way near as bad as people say it is. I kinda feel the same way about FFXIII as well. When will people simply just enjoy games again? It seems every game has to be the best at everything for people to even consider it being worth their time, unless a bunch of reviews say it's OK to like it. (*cough*FO:NV*cough*)
This generation of gamers are too self-entitled... it's sad.
All people complaining about the game being slow are simply just bad at the game, and don't bother to learn the new mechanics. Sonic has SO many options to get to full speed in sonic 4 and it's a MUCH faster game than the originals, with only Sonic CD coming close.
Go check out time attack runs on youtube of act 1 for proof.
Ah yes, another fine example of video game "journalism"
Actually, aesthetics aside (personally not a fan of the new art style) I think what kills this game for me is that EVERY game clip I've seen is littered with low FPS and screen tearing. WTF capcom, you can't release a MvsC fighting game in that condition. If it doesn't at least run at a constant 30fps with Vsynch it's not worth anyone's time.
Really though, it should run at 60fps.
Do you have your sharpness down? Anything higher than 0(!) is just added crispiness, meaning not actually part of the original picture. (...artificially added by your tv.) Low sharpness and your warmest color setting (usually movie mode or warm2) can practically ELIMINATE jaggies if your sitting at the right viewing distance...actually it works pretty good sitting up close too!
Yeah, but at least they talk about the actual gameplay and not about how much they don't like playing mmorpgs or w/e. This review is miles ahead of that shit kotaku one.
walking the wasteland is part of the fallout experience, always has been. I think they should add them and make the maps gigantic to keep the pacing in line with FO3 and FNV.
