You need a X360 to use Kinect so any ad money spent on Kinect automatically helps the X360.
More X360s means more XBL users, which equates to even more money...
Kinect, X360Slim and XBL are pure profit for Micrososft's gaming division, so I'm pretty sure they'll recover the $500M they spent in no time.
