Maybe the One S can survive as a low cost 4k Blu-ray player that can stream next gen games like Stadia promised but failed at. It won't require much to stream in 4k 60fps, and the global network infrastructure might be up to the task by then

Why wait? Sony should just start on their Elder Scrolls killer now. Might be done by the time the PS5 Pro comes out, lmao! They should already be working on Haze 2 by now, that should be out before Halo Infinite
I can give you a hint. It's new markets. Maybe he doesn't need to convert the Sony fan base when there are a billion people in India who all have cell phones and xCloud within reach. I love owning consoles and PCs, but there is an ocean of users who don't need any additional devices to pay to play

The nice part for MS is they aren't desperately in need of revenue off their investments to pacify their shareholders. They are building a franchise and they can take their time.
