Christopher,
'wtf? what kind of self-entitled, millennial cliche...', followed by a lecture on (one form of) capitalism, followed by a 'there, I fixed it for you' type of comment. To me, it's impolite, immature, and annoyingly authoritative.
If you don't like so many articles maybe you shouldn't read them, or at least stop harshly criticizing free content. I also see you 'fixed' the title, it's really not your place to do that, write your own articles instead.
Steam only offers a two-hour refund window, a game like NMS requires more than two hours to realize it isn't at all what it was advertised to be. Sure, we can not shop at Steam so it's completely our fault but many of us do not...
Then they won't have something to whine about.
Without a doubt.
It isn't that. It's not wanting to associate with racists and trolls, it's not wanting to be in the same room with them.
Thats is absurd in this context.
It doesn't trample free speech in any way.
They aren't babysitting and policing the thoughts and speech of their players, they are implementing a code of conduct.
People aren't being punished for talking badly during a war game, they are being banned for horrible, racist comments. Calling the developers hypocrites is ridiculous. If people are that unhappy with how this game is being run they can always play something else.
Game sites build up lots of games that have nothing to do with nazis or even politics.
'As the gaming world braces itself for a Virtual Reality boom'
Isn't that from like three years ago?
I didn't know Gearbox took over. I feel like this game is getting far more press than it deserves, and at $60 I'll definitely pass. I don't care for the druggy, 1960s vibe either.
It sort of is.
It's still in Early Access.
We've reached a point where we must tell people exactly what they want to hear or risk being dogpiled. Eventually AI bots will handle communications, and we won't have to deal with the extremely annoying 10% who think they know how to build a better mousetrap.
None of your argument makes sense. People have the right to petition anything, it's called free speech, and it's a healthy thing to do. Involving alcohol and tobacco only muddies the water. Who are the 'game haters'? And yes, of course things should be done in moderation, that goes without saying. Dude, it's just a petition that started as a joke.
2018 has been very disappointing with respect to PC games. Once again, this was the year that was supposed to be stellar. It's half over and probably the worst year I can remember.
I don't understand why people get so worked up over this stuff, SJW and anti-SJW alike. I mean, who cares.
This sounds lame.
Does it still run terribly on PC?
