You obviously never played any type of "Sims" game. They are not simple casual games. Lot of depth and thought goes into some of those games.
Just because something doesnt have sex or swearing doesnt mean it is for casuals. Even "The Sims" took a lot of effort to actually get anywhere in the game.

I doubt it will be on par with 7 year old hardware. IMO you'd have to be an idiot to believe that one. But lets say its true. Mario is on the 360? Metroid or Zelda on PS3? No so there is plenty of reasons for any real gamer to buy an HD Nintendo console.
Many games have replay value but are not sports or Multi player. RPGs like Mass Effect, Platformers like Mario, just off the top of my head. Really it comes down having a reason to come back and play again. Some games have it others do not.
If you are so dedicated that you already own all those games, then shouldnt you be dedicated enough to be happy PSN is back up and you can play online?

If you are looking for day 1 superiority you have no understanding of hardware at all. Even top end PCs today do not put either console to shame really. Sure we will get true 1080p for every game but its not going to be leaps and bounds better.
