It still perplexes me as to why there isn't mod support in console games; UT3 for PS3 allowed for the use of mods and how long ago was that game released?
Now that you mentioned that, I cannot unsee it. Also, I know your pain; many of the games I wanted to try this out with are simply too beat up to even be read for play, let alone ripping content. But I like to keep em around for sentimental reasons.
I may have to check this game out at some point. But the collectible part of it is going to be a pain in my wallet. :/
Honestly, don't ask me, I didn't write it. A fellow contributor of the site I write for did.
This episode was a lot of fun to record, can't wait till next week.
An interesting read, although it forgot perhaps the most important game in zombie game history: Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
Had a blast on this podcast. It was good having Jeff on with us.
Gah. I have access to an Xbox again, but no Gold account. :/ Feel like I'm missing out on a fun time here.
Really don't see what was bad about the interface. Also how was the magic system broken? The dungeons I do have to sort of agree with you on though.
It's a shame I had to miss it, but glad to see you guys get on fine without me. I'll be back this coming Saturday with my rebuttal to Harry's points as well as discuss my reviews.
It's honestly not the same without having that actual collection, to be able to physically see what you worked for and purchased.
Please, don't just lump me in with other mass media outlets. I didn't initially want to write an article over the issue, but honestly, Sony has seriously screwed up. I'll be the first to stick up for every console, for each one has its bright sides, but honestly, Sony screwed up, and bad. It's not about wanting to make them look bad; they do a fine job doing it themselves.
With Sony and Microsoft both aiming for 2014 releases for their next consoles, I foresee the Wii 2 replicating its predecessors sales patterns. I am thinking what will also likely happen is option 2, with the Wii 2 able to keep riding the success it may have for tens years. As you mentioned, if the PS2 can do it, why not the Wii 2?
The fat line PS3 is affected by this issue as well.
A quick google or youtube search will show just exactly how wide spread an issue this actually is.
Even then, that's a weak excuse. Remember what we used to call DLC back in the day? Expansion packs. And yet modding was still strong and welcomed, for the most part. Look at say Valve or even Bethesda. They release DLC for their games, but also welcome modding with open hands, and even hand out the tools to do so. Why not share the same respect for consoles?
