HRoach have you tried logging out of Google on Safari and then logging back in via the Pokemon Go app? I think they tied the login to Safari now and that's why it's been screwy.
Your account is still there. It's just Google acting weird. If you click "add an account" and stick your old account info on there then you'll get your account back.
Bulbasaur was badass too, because early on in gen 1 the type advantages made it so epically overpowered and because Venusaur looked like a badass Jurassic Park reject

Nintendo is the Subaru of the gaming industry. They constantly undersell the competition (Sony, Honda, Toyota), they stay out of the horsepower wars, they make strange products compared to the other players, but they appeal to a specific segment, THEIR segment of the market, and as long as they always keep that segment pleased, they make insane profits. I'd love to see them make a high horsepower console again, but if they can keep Houdini-ing their way into making a low- to medium-sellin...

It's because of page views. This article alone just forced me to purchase a server upgrade for my site.
It was marked as approved 5 hours ago, not actually submitted 5 hours ago, but N4G's server glitches it up for some reason. Add a "/pen" to the URL of this post (the n4g post) to see that. I submitted it yesterday, sometime in the late morning. Whenever a post is approved, its "submitted" time is reset to the time that it was approved instead.
I know it'll check out as legit, I just wanted to reassure you and/or protect my name.

@DragonKnight: Submitter here. I can tell you for certain that the first two commenters have nothing to do with me. The first guy isn't a spammer (check his commenting and submitting history) and the second guy, the arran dude, is a spammer, whose site I have nothing to do with.
As for my profile, I was just too lazy to make one, which is why I didn't put anything in it. I added it now. But the 4 approvals thing is because I submitted it when there were damn near 300 ...
