I think that faces and facial expressions in games are not yet good enough for girls. They have a much greater face/emotion scanning capabilities and it's important to them as much as 3D spatial awareness is to males.

We have different brains. Girls are more into emotions and social interactions. When facial expressions are as good in games as they are now in pixar cartoons and movies, I guess more girls will game. That is, when games escape the uncanny valley.

I think it's because of a lawsuit against Geohot. So hackers make Sony lose money, then shareholders ask Howard Stringer to step down. Justice served (in their eyes)

I think they want Howard Stringer to step down.

If they continue making Sony lose more money, shareholders might actually call for Stringer to step down.

What do you mean?

As far as I know, Sony is the bully. They are a strong multi billion dollar corporation and Geohot is just a kid not having even a million. A lone and weak geek.

They provoked hackers to unite and seek vengeance. Why can't Sony fight piracy like everyone else? Sue the pirates, not the kid who modded the console.

It's just as if they'd sue me for making my blender into a coffe machine or something like that.

Don't get your hopes up people. Hackers said they won't stop attacking. IMHO Sony should apologize for their violent behavior and Stringer should step down. Then we may hope for a stable PSN.

I think we won't see a stable PSN for a loooooong time. The attacks probably won't stop until Stringer steps down.

I guess it's payback time. Vengeance. Seems to me Sony will come out of this as a much bigger loser than Geohot.

Die?! Just because you can't game online, you wish for someone to die from the bottom of your heart?

Wow, the amount of selfishness and spoiledness of Americans is insane! I'm amazed! No wonder you don't GET how much terror and suffering you're causing around the World.

You kill hundreds of thousands just like that and then when a few people die in USA, when you get hit by tornado, when you can't game online...you're whining and moanin...

SURPRISE! The World doesn't revolve around you!

So, no one cares that you don't get to play your games, aawwwwww how sad :(

Seriously, do you really think that "you doing what you enjoy" is more important than "fighting against giant corporations that sue young talented kids with a much greater IQ than yours" ?

Other people are just collateral damage. Just like innocent civilians getting killed in American bombing and poisoned by depleted uranium for decades after America bombs them in order to "bring freedom".

Now hackers are "bringing freedom" to the digital world, fighting companies who sue smart kids. There are better ways to fight piracy. Just like Gaddafi could find a better way to fight protesters.

Violence breeds violence.

It's called collateral damage. When you bomb Iraq, Bosnia or Afghanistan, "bringing democracy and saving civilians", eventually bombs do kill civilians and innocent people. What's more, those bombs are made of depleted uranium so they poison civilians and innocent people that you wanted to save for hundreds of years after your bombings.

In this war, PSN consumers ale collateral damage.

It doesn't matter how secure your network is. The thing that matters is that you don't provoke people to attack you.

There are better ways to fight piracy than suing kids.

In the end, no security is secure enough if the amount of force you provoke against you is beyond your defenses.

This Stringer guy is really clueless.

Living in one of his 100 villas with hundreds of millions in his pocket, suing kids around the World...and then he whines when he gets what he deserves. What a sad and a disgusting man.

I've been a loyal Sony fan, PS1, PS2 and PS3 at launch. But after all this, that man makes me wanna puke at everything he says.

Just the other day he was preaching about the "brave/bad new world", well, Mr St...

"It is no longer listed as a mental illness, which I believe is because they could not find a cure that was not inhuman."

Wrong. It's not listed because it's not an illnes. An illness is an abnormal process in which aspects of the social, physical, emotional, or intellectual condition and function of a person are diminished or impaired. I'm a gay and my body functions just fine. I have friends, love, family, a job, couldn't ask for more.

LOL, yaeh, Adam and Eve story is sick and funny to begin with. Couldn't they come up with something more believable?

They did it because they think it's a right thing to do. Also, gay mods for ME and DAO were among the most popular ones.

Every RPG should have sexuality open for players to choose. The immersion is much better if the RPG character is more like a player.

Why not? If you don't want it, don't choose it. Also, many of the developers themselves are gay. I'm a gay game developer myself. Why would I enjoy making a game that has romancing options but ...

Why would you be ashame? The fiercest warriors in Greece, (for some, the fiercest ever) - Spartans, were having regular gay relations with fellow soldiers.

Also, some of the greatest minds of our civilization were gay. Leonardo, Turing (you wouldn't have that computer in front of you if he didn't contribute to that invention for you, at the same time, beating Nazis) and many more.

What's there to be ashamed of?

5494d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

No, it's not a mental illness. Check your facts. I think only in countries such as Iran and Ghana it is considered a mental illness but because of religious and similar reasons, not by scientific medical research.

Btw what is your degree?

I understand what you're saying, but it got me thinking...what about Tomb Raider? We all played it as a female, not having a choice of sex. Does that make us transvestites? :D

I've also read many books and watched many movies with female, gay, straight, male, black, Hispanic, Russian etc... characters.
