Is the X1 Kinect even compatible with PCs? It would need an adapter. I'd assume the windows kinect would use USB, and not what the Xbone used.
I'm thinking if you want kinect for both your PC and x1, you'll have to own one for each, as they won't be cross-compatible. It's something MS would do.
It was a sponsorship deal, not the community. As I have said before Black Ops 1 was on PS3, then Microsoft worked a deal with MLG. And I believe the contract ends next year. (There is one more $1 million Call of Duty Champs) Then Sony could very well pick it up if they make the better offer. It is all about $$$. The comp gamers themselves will follow to any console as they have to if they want to keep playing.
It doesn't sound very friendly, but that's the way mlg go...
I hate to be supporting mpog, but 2ks and 5ks are ONLINE tournaments, not LAN. Most of MLG is online. Only about 6 LAN events a year.
I disagree that xbl is somehow better at matches than PSN. It mostly comes down to how your personal network is set up since ghosts doesn't use dedicated servers on any platform. Black Ops 1 was played on ps3, I had no complaints
And the whole one console will perform better than the other really doesn't matter. Comp pl...
First off, ghosts doesn't have dedicated servers on xb1. It's the same match finding system that all platforms use.
Resolution doesn't matter. Up until MLG Anaheim the comp platform was the 360. Ghost maps are to small for only seeing one pixel of someone to be possible.
Framerate is a solid 60fps at all times in comp. Maps are only Octane, Freight, Strikezone and Sovereign and they don't cause drops. Things like C4 and other explosives that c...
MLG can switch between xbox and PS whenever a new Call of Duty comes out. Though it hasn't been ps since black ops. It forces anyone interested in competitive Cod to own a xb1.
I personally dislike the snap feature as it makes the game screen smaller. I'd prefer a simple pop-up menu to access things like party and achievements, like the 360 had
At first i scimmed over BattleBlock and thought it read Bioshock. Now that would have been nice!
It won't fail, there's already to much praise for it
I see two sides to this argument-
1. If you play on a large TV the resolution difference is very noticeable. And having 1080p for better clarity and viewing would probably better than extra graphic effects and the like.
2. If you game on a monitor like I do, and the resolution difference is barely noticeable, so downgrading res and getting better graphics in other aspects would make sense
How to fix this? Maybe devs should allow some graphic ...
Same here, in every game I play I choose the wizard class, or the class closest to one. For better or for worse, I prefer magic
Phantom dust is the only reason I still have the original xbox, still friends come over and play it
Comparing I:SS and Ryse shouldn't be done. Each one uses it's own assets and runs on a different engine. They're two different games, two different devs. Cryengine also isn't known for being efficient.
Same for FH2 and Driveclub.
Pretty much the only true comparison you can make is multiplats, as they are made and optimized all with the same tools
Just give me either of them and I'll be happy!!
Isn't the fortification side pretty much based on camping?
It's about time we got this track
I agree, only thing that really got me interested that wasn't already announced was phantom dust! I'll be waiting for that! I still play it with friends on the original xbox
Definitely excited! I don't really think your AI argument will matter, because every player will be a real person.
I don't hate the Xbox itself, it's a fine console with good games. MS on the other hand, I don't trust. They have made many moves to undercut or choke the opposition rather than just making a good product and winning the consumer's hearts. MS plays dirty, and by doing so, they're going to generate some hate.
@alexkoepp
The article says the publisher will offer a look at DICE's new projects including Mirror's Edge. Battlefront will be there, and not an ms exclusive.
Technically even 360 can have infinite worlds, the draw distance wouldn't be good though. 4j are just being lazy and using the same code they made for last gen consoles. Basically in console versions all the chunks load, and never unload, while PC is constantly loading and unloading the chunks around you as you move.
I think 36 times larger will be enough for me, but even larger would be nice
