Diddy's Kong Quest, Terranigma, Final Fantasy VI and IX. Ah, good stuff.
Does Nintendo know there is a console that goes along with the controller? Sure couldn't tell from the press conference that took place yesterday.
This post demonstration on the live stream is just dumping salt on the now gaping wound that is my faith in Nintendo at this moment -.-
IMHO, Super Metroid is still the best Metroid game in the entire series. The music, although technically simplistic in comparison to scores from the Prime trilogy, was the most atmospheric, original, and enjoyable; the art style was attractive and helped to facilitate the notion of being alone throughout the game; and the gameplay was precisely what I would like in every 2D iteration.
If Retro really is working on the next Metroid, I'm curious to see what they believe is ...
Not getting my hopes up but c'mon revival of Megaman Legends 3 >.>
If it's just like DQIX in that it has a last boss but also an endgame, I don't think anyone could really ask for more than that.
Considering that it is possible to play the game fully offline, the lack of fees having to be paid for any Nintendo related online service outside of Japan, and having a maximum of 4 party members while either online or offline, it will most likely be without fee (outside of Japan).
I'm actually very excited about this game now that I know that it's possible to play online and/or offline. I'm assuming that considering the large amount of time and effort that was put into this game (as well as the localization of all recently released numbered titles) that it will be localized. I'm hoping one effect they touch up before release though are the visual battle effects, as they seem to be lacking (especially without the angled cinematography that Dragon Quest I...
I still would love if Arc from Terranigma was in some iteration, but unfortunately I know that'll never happen :/
I don't believe you understand what the purpose of playing a video game is. I believe it's to have fun, or so I've been told anyway. Perhaps you need to enjoy life a little more instead of dipping your ego into ignorant misconceptions.
The last paragraph of this article pretty much says it all. Retro needs to make a 2D Metroid that pays proper homage to Super Metroid.
Donkey Kong Country trilogy anyone?
Music has always been rather important to me in video games; a lot of the time it can be half the experience. I think along with being an amazing game in itself, a large part of the enjoyment I get from every playthrough of Super Metroid is from the music, as it really sets the atmosphere for every area and situation. Nowadays it seems as though the importance of music in video games is most often overlooked, but as rare as they are there are a fe...
"..salty salty fries."
Something tells me you must not like salt if you felt the need to type it twice in a negative context >.>
Well I guess there's one revealed world right there besides Traverse Town, @1:39 Sora's running between the bells of the Notre Dame cathedral.
Was stated that this game is immediately after coded and ties directly into KH3, so no, it is not a spinoff.
Still waiting for another Metroid with the intrigue, depth, mechanics, and fun of Super Metroid, I sure hope that's the kinda thing they shoot for next. Also think a remake of Return of Samus is overdue.
"..everything becomes harmful."
You live in a plastic bubble don't you? If so I suppose this mindset is reasonable, but otherwise this statement is sheer ignorance. It's people with this mentality that think the world is going to end tomorrow.
Present the statistical data from a quality study based on this subject and then I'll change my opinion, but until then claims such as these hold as little water as the claims of MSG causing headaches. Everyone is always ready and willing to shout epidemic, I wonder why.
<3 me some Samurai Jack
Jet Force Gemini anyone? Think that's still my most disappointing game ending to date.
