I'll say, a 2013 announcement is most likely.
I believe it feels like a survival/action horror. Because even during the action sequences, things get tense. In my opinion, DS2 shows how a game can be full full of action and yet retain that survival horror feel. Take notes capcom!

I believe it's not the site themselves but the person that is reviewing the game that's the problem. there are some people on the sites you mention that could be biased but not all of them are biased. so, in a way, both sides are right.
