I'm going to pretend that I'm a casual gamer who is about to make a next gen purchase. This guys tells me that the PS4 is 50% more powerful/faster than the XO and that it's much easier to developer for.
I say,"Wow. Awesome." and then I start to compare the games. After a couple of trailers I'm left scratching my head.
If the PS4 is so 50% more powerful and EASIER to develop for then why aren't there any games that reflect this ...
I think it's funny how everyone likes to underestimate MS. Wait until the end of this month when they release the full specs of their custom chip. MS isn't dumb and they can to win this generation.
Azure > Gaikai + Rackspace. There is no comparison. MS is like a pioneer in the cloud servicing arena. XBL isn't as prone to hacking and has like an uptime percentage of 99.95 percent which is crazy. PSN...not so much so. I get where you're coming from with XBL having a closed architecture but I'm more than willing to pay that cost if it grants me a better service.
Looking at the history of the two services and the fact that the XO will have 300,000 dedicated servers to the PS4's 30 to 50k I will have to definitely say that Xbox Live is the winner by a wide margin.

Bull shit. The XO GUI has been demoted in real time, games have been played on the system, kinect. Has been used with retail games and the list goes. Sony has yet to show the ps else on actual consoles with a retail game. Sony has yet to show games playing on a retail system. Apparently Sony isn't full of bs like I thought... I went to walmart to order my XO and I asked the clerk what was pre ordered most and she said that i was the first to pre order the xo. I didn't really believe her so i went to the ps4 pre order. Stand to see if they had any sku s left and they were all gone. I was pretty surprised to say the least.
All because it supports navigational commands doesn't mean it will match the XO's. You can switch between inputs on the fly.

Can solves that problem genuis and if you don't like that you can always say what you what instead of going through a gazillion menus like Shuei did in the PS4 Gamescom demo. Rabid PS fans are raving about it but the console took forever to boot comparedd to the XO and the GUI looked dated.

Thank you. I'm so glad someone doesn't have their fanboy goggles on and is calling a spade a spade. The PS4 looks to be a good console but the UI and the long load time doesnt do it for me.
It does change the fact that the XO GUI is cleaner looking and doesn't look like Facebook and Xbox live(360) had a baby.
I wonder if the system will take that long to load...I thought they had a techincal issue it took so long. Not a good look.

This debate in and of itself is stupid. Kratos is cool and all but if you then his ass can be the Hulk you're smoking something. What is happening to SONY is one of the reasons(The other one is $$$) that MS decided to make XBOX live a CLOSED network. Only they have access to upload to the network and so forth versus the open network that SONY and NINTENDO uses. This reduces the risk of being hacked.
