hahha, I don't think that many censors would let them get away with putting much of Disturbed's first CD on there
Sure it is being released in 2008 in Japan according to the Square Enix website, however they will need a couple of months for localization as everyone does. I would say to expect this game in early Q2 2009.
Sorry to all of those people hoping for this game in the holiday calendar.
wait... you're a NIN fan yet have a Gilmore Girls avatar? I'm so confused... o.O
you'd be surprised, they're not that big into the shooter genre, but horror genre is mainstream over there... at least in Japan
as the article stresses, the functionally of the PS3 justifies the pricetag. It is by far the best bargain this gen considering what you get out of the box.
I'm more jealous of the SCEE 160gb LBP bundle.... /drools..
I was looking really closely at that third video myself. I played through the PC version at least 3-4 times, and this looks intense to me. His EVE meter dropped to almost zero after 1 shock! This is going to be a game a conservation....
The author is comparing a game released 1st gen on a system that that of a 4th gen, at least! Moreover, when talking about RFoM, he was using pictures from the upcoming title R2. The author is just a plain idiot.
Did everyone else see the button icons flashing constantly during the gameplay? I know that they advertised this as essentially being an interactive dramatic experience, however, if it is simply a movie with a linear storyline where I have to hit buttons in a certain order and combination to continue, I'll be severely disappointed.
I don't want this to be true, because this game looks (graphically) too good to be true... Give me depth with freedom of exploring the world without...
the FPS turret view was the part that surprised me the most... I really hope it is controllable... that would throw a whole new element into this game
I'm so excited... I have both 1 and 2... and will definitely pick this up when it comes out
very simple... just substitute us for eu... betatrail@us.playstation.com
Great idea, but still the worst logo ever!
Oh come on... I mean.. with all the betas coming out this holiday, I'm bound to get in at least one of them, right?
Aussie's are the only ones with an "edited" version of the game. As for the rest of us, we'll have the same generic international version that is pleasing to all censorship bureaus.
I agree with you, oh master of the hidden fist
There are a couple of great points about this game that haven't really been explored yet...
1) Playstation exclusive - This wouldn't really be that big of a deal, except that PS3 hasn't really seen that many RPGs yet, so the fact that it's getting one from a big name dev (sony) and that it's exclusive is big news.
2) New style of game - This game is a hybrid of two different and successful genres, strategy and action. I for one haven't seen this type of combination ...
i see your not making any outrageous predictions on this comment board... However, I could see R2 easily selling 300k copies in Japan. It is over 2 years since the first title released, and the ps3 install base in Japan has grown substantially since then. However, we'll be able to see for ourselves when the game releases in just over 2 months... can't hardly wait
of course they're jumping on the bandwagon. The news of the 160gb LBP bundle just dropped from SCEE. They're doing everything they can to milk this game for all its worth... before it's even out
yeah, they are definitely trying to reach out and hit multiple demographics with this game... I would be interested to see if they succeed since the music industry today is so faceted.
