I am very excited for this sequel. Though the first modern warfare was topped a while back, and regardless if Modern Warfare 2 surpasses those certain games (quality wise) it will still be a excellent game.
Motion controls and Casual games, and I stay far away from both. Hey, RememberThe357 for a good action adventure like games I would highly recommend the Ratchet and Clank or Uncharted series, but beyond those and a few upcoming games there is a lack of "quality" adventure games and a complete lack of decent rpg's.
I would have to say that I disagree with Call of Duty 4 being the only game able to capture the essence of leveling up. I'm sure that anyone who played Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 would disagree with that you were not compelled or excited to level up. Future games such as Borderlands show much potential for taking a shooter and mixing it with role playing game elements such as a leveling bar.
I personally found the last battle somewhat easy. I beat it by myself in single player (normal) in about 30 minutes with a pistol and shotgun that had yet to be fully upgraded. I must stress the soewhat though as it was only difficult until I had figured out what to do after several near instant failures. Therefore, pain til' you figure out what to do.
At first I was disappointed in the lack of gore, but now (at least for this game) I'm actually enjoying the the purple mist. I respect Team Ninja for not making gore the main part of this game.
It's early in the morning, but I noticed that Ign may of contradicted itself. They seemed to give Alan Wake best on 360, but Mass Effect 2 game of show. Just something I noticed. They both look to be turning out very well.
From what I think I have heard (about Borderlands) you select one of the four characters, and then chose some colors to decorate there clothing and such with. Great list, but I could of expanded the list to at least 20. Though I still can't recall this year being in need of saving.
