I don't think it's a game changer...it's more of secret sauce. It just means it will load assets a few seconds faster than SX. I don't think it will greatly benefit fps or resolution...
I am concerned how well the ps5 CUs scale with the higher clock speeds...RDNA 1 did not scale well at higher clock speeds. We'll have to see benchmarks from digital foundry
A console will probably never make PC obsolete... because PC is always improving. Series X has impressive power but will launch in November not right now...by then AMD might have released RDNA 2 cards capable of outdoing 12 TF. But yeah from a value stand point Series X will likely be impressive. Consoles don't have overhead of running Windows plus select first party games are really well optimized...It will be interesting to see halo infinite on series x vs PC comparison. I'm curious...
First question to ask is are they running at the same resolution. Otherwise this is a really dumb comparison.
Yea I know PS3 played all PS1 games on disc. But im talking about PS3 on PS5.
I think it's safe to say both consoles are well designed...
Given Sony has no interest in backwards compatibility with PS3. I'd have everything remastered at this point for game preservation
I want to see ps5 tech demoes...maybe some ray tracing...

Well it's not like you didn't earn your money. It's your right to ask questions.
Okay so at least ps4 compatibility is confirmed. Next stop PS3 please
I'll buy ps5 day one if they announce PS3 back compatibility

I think Sony only has a clear advantage in one area SSD speed...CPU, GPU is better on SX
Limited backwards compatibility with PS4… seriously Sony wtf....I was expecting backwards compatibility with PS3 announced today
Limited backwards compatibility sigh

I'd be surprised if it beats PS4. Xbox might because Xbox one launch was a disaster. Well see
Just remake Ninja Garden again...
For me the sole differentiator is the controller. The PS4 controller is the only way to play.
Yeah that makes sense
