The number was higher this time because HD DVD had no releases for like 3 weeks in a row in March. Wait till April numbers come out, and you will see HD DVD will have taken April.
You are correct, Cingular is the only one who will offer this phone. Verizon passed on this phone 2 years ago because Apple was asking for to much money including part of the customers monthly bill.
