The cloudgine tech has been or is being made part of Unreal Engine 4 which is the game engine powering crackdown 3. I wouldnt be surprised though if MS has their own tech through Havok
Sumo Digital was always the main developer, it was always powered by MS azure using some cloudgine Tech. There is no reason they cant continue to use the cloudgine tech, as that deal was done long before epic bought cloudgine.
Epic can probably sort it quite easily but all the publicity for fortnite is fantastic
The biggest complaint about fortnite is that if you bought the content on pc and play on pc then tried the game on ps4 that content you purchased on pc is locked to ps4, you then cant play on switch or xbox with content you purchased on pc. If you buy content on pc then play on xbox and then get a switch your content moves with you regardless of platform. Only with ps4 is the content locked even though it was originally bought on pc. I dont really care either way about fortnite as I dont play...
The whole ff14 issue was not because MS blocked cross play, it was down to the way Square Enix wanted to apply updates to the game, all updates on xbox live have to go through certification by MS. Square Enix wanted updates to land the same day as PlayStation and Pc updates MS couldnt guarantee that due to certification....

Sony execs could start ww3 and all the fans would be like " Yeah wooooo this is exactly what we need".. Both had decent shows. I will be buying the Sony exclusive games to play on my pro everything else will be bought for my one x, purely because I prefer the controller and xbox live plus all my friends game on xbox.

I am enjoying my ps4, I actually own 2 of them along with 2 xbox's. I spend time enjoying all my consoles and playing a variety of games and will be picking up God of war this week. My ps4 is for Sony exclusive games nothing else, all multiplatform games are bought on my one x
