I could care less whether they support the PS3 or not. This is my gaming preference. If you have a problem with it, then it's not my problem.
I have Dead Space and playing it right now.
Won't be buying it for the PS3, 360, or PC because I could care less about the game. :)

I don't see what's the big hype for this game anyway. I would rather wait for RE5 and I have more than enough games this holiday season to keep me happy.

Sony, at this point isn't TRYING to catch up or beat the 360. They're trying to keep their gaming business afloat. If they decrease the price, demand exceeds the supply.
That makes them lose MORE MONEY.
Microsoft may only care about winning but Sony cares about their business.

...This is a matter of supply and demand. If Sony drops the price, the demand would exceed the supply. They will lose more money. I don't think they care about winning. They care about making money.

If Sony is planning on only selling 10 million units around this year, then they cannot drop the price. If they drop the price, the demand would increase and they will lose money because there would be a shortage.
