Here's the full story.
It's sad thing for PS4 owners to not have mods. There's always a reason.
Bethesda mis-managed mods on consoles that just anyone would post even someone else's work.
Son until Bethesda straighten things out, and Sony loosen their stands on their sound and music...
It is weird that it looks better on the PS4 Pro?
Maybe it's because my monitor isn't 4k...
The PS4 Pro keeps his color gamut better than the PC gets brighter.
@Lonnie18
I do think tontontam0 was sarcastic. We all know it just doesn't exist.
The GPU for 4k 60fps breaks 1000$ for the GPU alone.
Yeah, well, I already told Sony that before launching it. It needed more power, and 4k UHD HDR Blu-Ray player.
Arguably, I am very impressed by their upscale technology and gives really good quality for it's price.
Sure a PC can Brute Force itself to 4k, but you'll pay the high price, like over 1000$ just for the GPU itself, it doesn't include the PC.
Not reaching native 4k today is not the same as the Xbox One not reaching 1080p when...
@1nsomniac
If you were to have told me back in 2012-2013 if LG was a high-end brand, I would have laugh myself.
Lots of issues, lots of problems with TV not lasting as long. But in recent years, they have made significant leaps. They bought Web OS 2.0 from Blackberry and Intel. They have IPS panels which is the strongest panel on the market.
Try hitting slightly a TV, then hit a 4k IPS LG, other TVs even Samsung and Sony will slightly loose their color t...
PS+ always gave out 6 games rather than 4 on Xbox Live Gold.
Xbox One's lack of speed when it came for it to multi-task something else during gameplay as extremely slow compared to the quick and responsive PS4.
Not a chance, I got a 4Tb HDD on mine, it won't fit in the PS4 Pro due to the lack of detachable top.
A 1.5Tb could tough... some 2Tb as well. I use the Niko adapter for it.
The Scorpio feels more like an next-gen leap from it's predecessor than an upgrade.
Granted, the Xbox One was weak and underwhelming while the PS4 Pro didn't change that much.
What's with the clickbait drama queen "final nail to the coffin" title?
If you want your preferred company to strive, then competition is good to prevent them from stagnating.
A lot of people are buying the Xbox One S just for the 4k UHD Blu-Ray, even if they won't even play games.
I don't blame them, a Samsung 4k Player is 400$ and just plays movies.
It's the cheapest "true" 4k player on the market.
The others at 40$ just upscale to 4k, not native.
This should send a message to Sony for their lack of a 4k player.
@ULTsupterfugee
"No real improvements. Experience real 4k, so buy a real 4k device."
Are you talking about a PC with a 1200$ GPU? Because that can deliver Rise of the Tomb Raider in 4k/60fps.
Certainly not the Scorpio, even if it achieves 4k on some games, it won't be 60fps.
For my eyesight, I recommend 50" and up for 4k.
Anything below that is really wasted on the small size of the TV itself.
Also, make it HDR. It's gives you much better colors that will be more obvious to the eye than 4k.
Seriously, I asked clients which one is the 4k display, they've always chose the 1080p one with the better colors over the cheaper brand 4k. They were shocked to find out they were wrong.
I could name brands you shouldn't bu...
HDR was never useless, Sony pushed for it for at least 2 years, since early 2015.
It just now this year became a standard. Having a HDR compatible or Premium HDR.
Sony TVs are very much capable of Premium HDR but chose not to brand them because they don't just meet those requirements, they exceed them.
@zombiewombie
"I was down on the lack of 4K BLuray player as well but then I remembered that 4k blurays cost from 30-40 bucks. I'm OK with it not having the player"
Wrong. These blu-ray only Upscale your Current 1080p Blu-Ray to 4k. It's not a 4k HDR UHD Blu-Ray Player.
That's a different format. It's the difference between upscale and native resolution. native>upscale.
The real ones are few and far between starting ...
@XiKurapikaKurta
I can read the comment section on PS Blog, people are disappointed, myself included.
I'm not here to defend EpicSandwich, just giving my toughs on it too.
The lack of 4k Blu-Ray is a disappointment for me too. Knowing HDR will be compatible with my current PS4, it reassures my investment. I'll wait for the PS5, in the mean time, I'll get a Scorpio.
No, I won't buy 2-3 consoles every 3-4 years. I'll just choose the best...
I highly suggest buying the new PS4 Pro over the Slim.
For the price difference you're way better off with a bulkier machine.
Save your money and wait.
Also, don't waste your money on an Xbox One S, it still can't do native 1080p.
Upscaling from 900p/720p to 4k won't be as smooth as 1800p/1440p to 4k.
For 100$ more, it's a much better console until Scorpio arrives. Save your cash for Pro/Scorpio instead.
I do own a 4k HDR TV. I will say Sony is well-know for great upscalling even way back with the PS3 and DVDs.
Unfortunately, the lack of a UHD Blu-Ray Drive is disappointing and I will be skipping the Pro myself.
It looks more suited for people who haven't bought a PS4 yet, now they can do so with extra benefits.
The best announcement was that all PS4 "including those already sold" will get updated to support HDR for ALL PS4 games.
HDR Premium...
According to patents, this thing looks like a Wii + Wii U hybrid.
I hope it's not the case.
Hello Games really did not deliver on their promises.
Sony did not published the game on PC.
It is a huge disappointment for many users.
Some will get over it, me I want one and I'll wait for a revision or a PS5/ Xbox Scorpio.
