From a gaming perspective, buy it if you are a gamer and if you enjoy its line of exclusive games. Same goes for the 360 and the Wii.
From the Bluray player perspective, buy it because it is arguably the best player out there.
From a value perspective, buy it because you get the most bang for your buck out of the box.
From a N4G community perspective...stick with 360, PC and the Wii because the N4G PS3 Fanbase sucks for the most part.
I'll just say that Kinect fails to Move me and Move fails to Kinect with me.
I'll keep my Wii for now.

That is a great selling point but I invested in rechargeable battery packs for my Wii years ago so need for me to "Move" yet.
Don't waste your time. Play real games instead. There are plenty available.

I let mine run out about a year ago and have not looked back ever since. Live is nice but I could no longer justify paying for a service that I hardly used. $60 a year is still nothing to me but I can see why some would have a problem with paying it considering there are other options that allow you to play for free on PC and the other consoles. On the other hand I can see why some will be fine with paying the $60 because the service is great. For now, PSN delivers all I need for free.

I there with you. Gears 1, Gears 2, Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 have provided me many hours of fun and I'm looking forward to the future installments.
I love this whole "quality" argument. Through your eyes the 360 probably has no "quality" games yet they sell because "quality" of the fun has been very high. Say what you will about the "xbots" but apparently to them quality=fun=higher sales.
Edit: Awww...lookey there. Disagrees already. LMAO, disagree all you want. It does not change the fact that 360 owners are loving all the fun we are having playing our games. The truth hurts more...
