I don't have a problem with Sony paying for it either.
1) It's just one more reason to get gamers to buy games for the PS3 instead of the 360.
2) Gotta spend money to make money.
I keep PS3 60 gig unit flat in a wide open/well ventilated area. I had no warning signs, it just died on me. Dust may have been the problem. I kept the outside of the unit really clean but I never cleaned out the inside. $157 dollars later (refurbished replacement unit), I have learned my lesson. I clean the inside out on a bi-weekly basis now exactly the way that moparful99 explained. I hope that keeps my unit running clean.

I'll most likely stop gaming if every publisher pulls this pay to play crap. I just want to buy a game, pop it in my PS3 and play online for "free". Not too much to ask.

1 YLOD - That came at a time when I hardly used my PS3 for gaming.
0 RROD - We were always playing on the 360. No problems. Go figure.
