MGS turned a profit shortly after the Halo 3 launch, yes you guessed why, because of all those Halo fans that got soooo hyped about the game, only to be let down by the game..
anyway.. SCE turned a profit much faster than MGS this gen, and its not the PS3 that did that .. for those who care, tho currently MGS's profit is mo...
and @PimpDaddy, it doesn't matter how much the company is worth, that means it just costs more to buy them, but they can't put that money into buying other companies lol, the only money they can use to buy other companies is the profit..

as pimpdaddy said, Sony cant buy MS coz they are worth too much, but neither can MS buy Sony simply because microsoft doesn't have the money for it.. and for w/e said that MS needs to loan more to buy sony, than they'd have to loan ...
the day that this will happen is when Microsoft announced that they bin Windows for a free Linux kernel, and they use these keywords in one sentence in the same sentence when they announce this:

tbh these games are still in development, so you NEVER EVER know what happens, remember Haze? well there you go.. there was a LOT of hype for it, but it is one of the biggest flops this generation..

im not sure if they have to reimburse the games development cost, since the game has been kinda canned, and when a game is canned, the development cost is lost, they can sell the license which gives less/all/more of the games development costs... so technically it could go PS3 (or maybe PS) exclusive..
aside from that, the lead platform for this game is the PS3, which means it'll make it easier for SCE if they buy the rights to it..
i guess you're right, sony isn't a joined company lol..

erm the owners of the movie (in this case Sony Pictures) gets to decide who is gonna make the game, so they could give the rights to SCE and that would lead to exclusivity for PS brand!
lol here in the uk, a friend bought a £600 bluray player over a PS3 player lol.. when i heard about it, i was like WTF? PS3 is the best bluray player out there why not just go for a PS3, he was like 'OMG I HATE THE PS3 SO MUCH, I WONT BUY IT EVEN THOUGH ITS BETTER THAN A STAND ALONE BLURAY PLAYER' and i was like .. 'lol ok' xD
it was already know it was possible lol, i mean the they have installed XP on it before, and its just a VM not something that special.. its pointless tbh..
and keep steam the way it, but also integrate it in the PSN.. like PSN + Steam = PlaySteam Network, then you'd get the following:

i actually didn't notice any difference, not frame rate or graphics aside from the upscaler, i played on a friends 360 and my PS3 on his 50" TV and i noticed that the PS3's up scaling is a bit more accurate, which i find weird since the 360 version is hardware upscaled and aside from that it also runs on a higher resolution.. im not sure if i saw it wrong or that i am just plain crazy, but the upscaling of the PS3 looked better to my eyes

anyway.. i think its possible with BD-J, like the other games? or not?
i agree that its a cool concept and very innovative, but as some said before, i don't see the fun in it..

for those interested, its an opensource game which is currently only available for GNU/Linux and will run 100% on Debian Etch and Ubuntu 7.10 but should run on all other version. You have to download the source and compile it (make and make install from terminal)

definately agree with you Tacki.. i think this might be the FIRST game that is 'PERFECTION' or comes close to it!!
technically its not EA making it, its DICE, but then DICE was bought by EA... but still EA is not making it :P EA is only publishing it xD
meh i guess we'll see from reviews if the game is gonna suck on PS3 or not.. i have no doubt that the gameplay, ai, graphics and whatnot is gonna be good on 360/PC but for the PS3 we'll see it in the reviews, like we did with the Orange Box!
