hmm luckily it is for research purposes and i do hope that they wont publish how they exactly did this lol.. coz i dont wanna go to some random website saying that it is legit while its not lol
microsoft only publishes the title, but doesn't own the rights to it.. Gears of War is licensed to Epic, not Microsoft.. if Epic wants to release GeoW on a different platform, they only have to make sure that it is not GeoW1 or GeoW2 and they have to find a new publisher.. thats all ;)
actually, it's PS3 hating media and 360 fanboys that sees quantity over quality.. not media..
has NOT turned a profit yet, it is the software that has turned a profit, and that was all because of the over hyped Halo 3..
otherwise they have to sell it for much less to retailers, coz retailers gotta make a profit as well.. i wud assume they loose somewhere around $150 - $250 per console when sold to retailers.. so they're selling it for $200 - $300 per console to retailers..
i'll bet with you.. tho my bet will be that the Wii outsells them both ^^, :P
seriously tho.. you may be very right 360 is outselling the PS3 in NA.. but remember that NA is 360's territory.. I think it will be like this for 2008 between PS3 and 360:
Japan: PS3
Europe: Either of them, tho the gap between their sales will be VERY small.. at most 500k i think
NA: 360..
thats wot i think will happen for 2008..
now.. excluding today (since ...

you're right.. it all started when Sony gave them their own PSN Store lol..
lol wut? what was that about the BD as an addon? :O u didn't say that!! if Sony had done that.. HD DVD wud probably still exist..
and NO a PS3 WITHOUT BD just wudn't make sense AT ALL!! it's not rocket science.. i wudn't be able to play MGS4 if had such a PS3.. i wudn't be able to play ANY game for that matter.. since all PS3 games are currently on BD.. yes a lot of them can go on DVD, but why would you? BD is (supposedly) safer than DVD.. so i don't know how someone even cud sug...
actually i'll have you know that i myself found out about linux.. thats one.. second is, i use Windows Vista more often than i use linux.. for the same reason you said, there is a greater application support on there.. and no i don't hate Microsoft coz i use MS Office, windows etc..
sorry but your argument is wrong.. and true you are not a blind hater.. you're blind lover (ah well you know what they say.. love is blind)..
also why wudn't you try to use linux/unix for...
companies would be getting more for this from some users, tho they may also get less lol.. the following are just examples mind you.. imagine if Haze was like that.. Free Radical would have much less.. but e.g. for CoD4.. i have played CoD4 for over 8days.. and if i only calculate for those 8days.. i wud have payed IW $240 .. so its not necessary a bad thing for companies.. but it will be a bad thing for MOST end users!!
im more on vista coz i play games more often.. i used to have XP installed as well.. but since it was pretty annoying having multiple OS's.. i decided to remove XP and just use linux and vista.. and to be honest.. it is much stabeler with SP1 (have tried both yes) but still not on par with XP/Linux.. yes you can work with it usually .. but it's still gay sometimes.. and i kept Vista over XP coz everything was installed on there and cudn't be bothered installing anything on XP plus Vista is ge...
Win7 uses vista kernel, so all drivers shud work with win7 as they work with vista ;)
im still wondering wondering what makes you love microsoft so much.. you're beyond a fanboy lol
seriously.. this is not a renting service.. a rent service is something like blockbuster, you pay, keep it for 7 days.. send/bring it back.. what MS is trying to do.. is make you pay for every hour of what you play.. now.. i agree with you that if to try out a game it is very good to have such a system.. however.. what if it is something like CoD4?.. you'd be paying first a few hours (say 3 hours) to try it out that is $3.75.. then you can keep going with the subscription, and pay (in my cas...
when microsoft does this, it is really bad for everything "they stand for" users will move on from any of their software/hardware..
there are alternatives for an internet cafe.. microsoft wants to do this in your house..
they'll probs give the software free.. but you have to pay per hour..
they will cut off your legs and you have to pay a quid/dollar/euro per step :P
limited to backing up, and not allowing anyone to crack it in the user agreement, they could technically sue this/these guy/guys..
EDIT: wots the disagree for lol? care to explain?
