YLOD is a myth!!! The PS3 doesn't break, it will never ever break in your whole life! get a hammer and hit it as many times as you want! it won't even scratch! throw it away from a plane that 10km above the ground and traveling at 800km/h and it wont scratch! hell throw it in a dark hole and it will still work!!

electronic products always have a certain percentage that fails.. my ps3 died with YLOD, but sony replaced my original 60GB UK launch PS3 for free and without any problems OUTSIDE the one year warranty period..

yeah i guess you are right.. and about that dual boot.. a friend of mine showed me some random application that would run windows apps within mac OS without actually needing to boot into windows.. i don't remember what it was but it was pretty sweet.. much like Ubuntu portable in windows but with Windows being inside Mac OS
but because Apple said we don't mind (in the business sense you should read: "we will have more customers")
macs can run windows without tooo much hassle.. but pc's require a lot of hassle to run mac.. so! we know who wins!
but macs are too expensive for me to consider for now lol

and no mac address is not something that can be stored in an XML.. a mac address is a unique ID to a network adapter(e.g. ethernet adapter or wifi adapter).. this is fairly hard coded and cannot be changed by simply editing a text file... this exploit does look legit..

NO the PS3 can't get viruses nor can the 360 or the Wii.. the closest we have gotten to viruses on next gen console was a while back when people said they couldn't login after they added some random gamer tag.. which i doubt was a virus.. but more like idiots who gave away their passwor...
believe it or not, but since i bought my PS3 i only downloaded one game.. that is CoD4.. and that was AFTER i bought the PS3 version.. not played much with the PC version coz pc cudn't handle it but that is the only game that i have downloaded since i bought a ps3 on the UK launch date .. i'm happy and devs are happy..:)
