I played the beta last night and apart from the heaviness missing (Which I love) it was better than any shooter I've played in a long time.
Edit: I still can't comment on the SP, so once I finish it on ELITE, then I'll be able to give my verdict.
If it was any other game, I would agree with you, but have you seen Killzone 3? I think it deserves a 10 in the Graphics department.

It really all depends on the price and whether or not it gets hacked.
I still think a fairly large chunk of PSP's sold due to the system being so easy to hack, and that's rather unfortunate.
There still isn't a CFW so I think it might be a little more than a minor bump. It's fun watching Sony and the hackers duel it out.
Keeping in mind that no other system came even close to a Nintendo Portable, I think the PSP did exceedingly well.
I pirate some things such as applications or games I already have on another platform, but as far as my PS3 is concerned, I'll never download games for it.
It's most likely to build up excitement and get people to play the beta who otherwise would not play the retail game in hope of converting them.
