I'm also expecting a 2013 release, since they said themselves that they are focusing on Max Payne 3 for the moment. Also, the time between gta IV's first trailer and the release of the actual game is around a year so I'm thinking early 2013 makes sense.

I really enjoy R* as a company for passion they put in their game. Everyone that played vice city knows this, the Miami feels there is in the game so nicely done and the game itself is still being played nowadays because of how nicely done it was put up.

Also if you compare with the last game, there was approximatively a year between the first trailer and the release of the actual game.
Also, do you really want a rushed game ? I know I don't.
It's my most anticipated game as well. I've played every single GTA and I always looked forward to their next game.
I really like the fact that they listened to their fans and brought back planes in the game. A big map, planes, good graphics and hopefully add 'fun' elements to the mix and it could be a really strong game.
Knowing Rockstar the game will be poorly optimized and only the high-end PCs will be able to run it decently. Let's just hope that they optimize it a little better this time, also if you think GTA IV was poorly optimized play L.A. Noire, Good Luck.
