"Archipelago of the Rising Sun"...
PS3 is still supported with exclusives to this day. Same can't be said for the 360 or Wii.
I got all my other PS4 games delivered within a week from DS. They're not as bad as they used to be!
I pre-ordered Destiny (PS4) for $45 ($10 less than advertised $55 due to some clever catalogue-matching). Dick Smith have stepped up their game lately in Australia.
It was on PC as well, so it's not an Xbox exclusive. So many of Xbox's "exclusives" are on PC, and before you say PC "is Windows so it's Microsoft", it's not the Xbox brand and gives one less reason to invest in one.
In comparison, several exclusives from that era on Gamecube and PS2 have remained exclusive to those consoles.
I love how NextLevel includes non-gaming related studios in an article discussing Xbox exclusives to pad out the list.
I think XBO is doing well at the moment with exclusives - looking forward to Quantum Break - but I'm cautious. Too many people seem to conveniently forget or ignore what Microsoft did with the Xbox 360 - first three years exclusives galore (Blue Dragon, Dead Rising, Lost Oddysey, Tales of Vesperia), middle years slow the exclusives line-up down and let sa...
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare isn't Xbox One exclusive. It's coming to the PS4; it was announced by EA a week or so ago.
Dead Rising 3 is also headed for PC, announced three days ago. So not truly Xbox One exclusives.
To be fair, Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn for PS4 is also on PS3 and PC.
I think the article is referring to Take-Two filing for the 'City Stories' trademark. The news doesn't necessarily refer to an update of the two previous PSP games, so it could be a new title or just a proactive renewal.
If it IS a port update of Liberty and Vice City stories for Vita, though... that'd suck.
It's a decent RPG but only if you're a serious fan of the books, and/or a fan of Dragon Age: Origins-style gameplay.
Everytime I see a story about Gabe I can't help but laugh and get this video out of my head: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
[Gabe Newell]: "Valve is... pleased to announced... RICOCHET 2!!!"
It felt rushed at the end, and had way less bonus stuff to do, but it's still a really awesome Tales game and solid experience that proves the series is one of the best JRPG franchises out there. The sequel apparently brings back item synthesis, more costumes and other improvements though. I'm excited for Xillia 2 now. :)
What IC-1101 said. There's also a link in the review that shows you how.
Yep you can. Many of us have done so for years. I did it for The Walking Dead when Telltale Games didn't bother to submit the game for classification here because they wanted to avoid our redundant ACB.
Our Classification Board has outdone themselves.
That's basically what I'm saying in the article. Nintendo and Sony are supporting the crap out of their two handheld platforms, they just need the time to get momentum and software out. Gamers are too impatient (myself, in the past, included). I basically said I'm glad I just went ahead and bought both and enjoyed them on my own terms rather than sales forecasts or doom and gloom posts. :)
Awesome list, all great games that made the original Xbox so great. I'd have personally included Jade Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Otogi and Shenue, but my list just covers the exclusive intellectual properties Microsoft owns (so mostly first-party with two second-party properties bought off).
If only Microsoft had bought BioWare and Sega, then they would have got more awesome games and kept the existing ones exclusive (Jet Set, Panzer and Shenmue alone...
Did you guys read the article? My opinion is that exclusives matter and that Microsoft's lack of care for creating new IPs in-house or facilitating new IPs with second or third-party devs, as well as keeping existing ones that they themselves published (such as Mass Effect 1 and Ninja Gaiden II) from jumping ship to their primary competitor, the PS3, is embarrassing and concerning.
No. I just argued that perhaps the over-emphasis on online multiplayer is stifling the personal and social aspect of gaming that came with splitscreen gaming, which is declining as of late.
Like I said in the final line of the article, I just think developers can and need to recognise the lasting relevance and market of local or online splitscreen multiplayer and continually grant us the option (such as in recent games like Dead Island, SSX, etc, where it makes no sense that ...
As much as screen-cheating was so not cool back in the day, don't you think splitscreen is still relevant for couples who want to play campaign co-op together, or friends who want to come over and enjoy the same match of Call of Duty or Halo or whatever they play in the same room?
Anyone who bought into this whole scandal and bothered to research Quinn and what she did has way too much time on their hands.
