The difference between VHS and DVD was huge, going from a hard tape to a small disk that you could skip scenes on. The difference between DVD and blu-ray to the average public is minimal, as it's just a nicer picture, and you have to have an HDTV to even enjoy that. Still too expensive for me to really want to spend my money there, maybe next year...
what do you mean, you people?
We know he's a great player but I don't think anyone can salvage what's left of the Jets.
I can't hear either my PS3 or my Xbox 360 over the sound of my 4 case fans trying to cool off the 4850 :-)
Motion sensing capabilities are great, but they just aren't accurate enough for me to even want to hold onto this system.
I guess we know who the donor should be now...
yeah the blizz are usually pretty reasonable about the requirements. Even though we won't see SC2 for another year, and D3 probably for another two, they're being built with today's hardware in mind. Just finishing up my 4850 build in anticipation for these games, and let me tell you the wait is killing me...
If you want to max it out, get a better graphics card - a Radeon 4870 or a 4870x2 (when it comes out) if you have the money for it. I'd also consider putting in some more RAM if your comp/operating system can make use of it, and/or perhaps overclocking your CPU a little bit. Really a graphics card upgrade will help you the most though.
Wrong. FF13 on 360 is COMPLETELY because of money. 360 has a large portion of the gaming market, and Square wants to sell their title to a piece of that pie. Can you blame a company for wanting to make more money?
Hows about a 4850 powered PC feeding DVI to HDMI into the back of a 50 inch LCD, and a wireless keyboard and mouse so i can sit on the couch 8 feet away from the screen. Monitors are nice, but man i love me my big screen
I think Gears 2 will be ten times more fun than Resistance 2. Killzone however, that's another story...
Everyone I know wants the Necromancer to come back, and provided theyve made up their minds about the 5 original characters, the only way that's going to happen is if they release an expansion.
Any company that innovates is more than likely to face something like this...not like its gonna really hurt their pockets
Thats true, and i like the direction too, i'm just concerned that the atmosphere is going more of the way of Warcraft than it should be. I mean look back at Diablo 1 and remember how eerie and suspenseful it was to play at night. I want to have that feeling still...
No achievements for D3 please, i just want a good story.
When they integrate graphics with the CPU as strong as something generated by that same year models GPU, then we're talking serious business. Nonetheless, good step for computers. It's about time integrated graphics didn't suck
really does depend on the game, but every game can teach you something, however useless it may be in real life
I'd like for them to iron out the motion sensing bugs first. It was a great idea that just needs some polishing if they decide to implement it into the next console
