The point of the article was to be fun and light. Slightly childish, if you may.
"If i were to put all my games on display people would think i haven't grown up and figure i have nothing better to do than play games all day.... " Don't be ashamed of what you like! No different than having movies on your shelf. Video games are viable sources of art and entertainment.
That is actually one of the problems I had with it. It's set in a town called "Springdale" that is clearly very Japanese themed. I think Americans, or Canadians in my case, generally don't care if it was to be set in Japan.
