You'll be happy to know that they ARE honoring this. I'm not sure the exact details on this, but you will have to re-apply for the PS3 beta test when it comes out. I presume that during this application, you'll enter in your code that you received with FFXIII.
I don't have the link, but there was definitely and article where Yoshi confirmed this, and also said that people using these codes will be receiving beta priority!
