Resistance wasn't Insomniacs first fps game ever made, Disruptor for the PSOne was. But Resistance was the first FPS game Insomniac made for next gen, and yes they did do a good job for there first try at next gen.

First off all you cannot compare these too games because one is fps and one is 3rd person cover. You can however compare the features given and I think Resistance will take that round, but I do think Gears 2 will sell more due to the install base.
