Uncharted 3 wasn't original but it did everything just right. Neither is Halo , Killzone, Half Life 2, etc...
Best would be each of them have their own levels but sometimes they meet and you can play that level co-operatively.
I think tha twould be amazing. The only problem is how would they share the profit/ responsabilities ? My guess is Naughty Dog should just make the game and Crystal Dynamics can help and get some moeny for letting them use Lara.
