I highly doubt sony will want to give it's users mkv support because they would lose money to piracy. MS doesn't have a music and film division unlike sony. If they do give it it will have that stupid cineva or whatever it's called that blocks out content from Sony and their partners.

It's not the true sony crowd who does this. It's the turncoat crowd who swap every generation to the leading console. They have to try to legitimize their purchase so then they start evacuating their bowels all over the under dog. Happens like clock work. When 360 was on top they did the same thing to ps3 and slowly switched to ps3 as it became top dog. They are a blight on the gaming community to which there is no end.
