While I agree the PC is the best gaming platform,
for pure gaming you would actually need a wii, how many platformers are on the PS360? a PURE gaming experience is what the wii offers, just fun games, not a polygon count, not thousands of cutscenes that interrupt what lit...

you forget Nintendo is in the handheld market,
and about the PS1 era, some of the most revolutionary games came out on the N64,
a good FPS on a home console check, Golden Eye
3D platformer check, Mario 64
3D Action Adventure check, Ocarina of Time
The N64 was crippled by its use of Cartridges though
And the PS2 era,
that was close but again Nintendo is in the handheld market,
and the Gamecube had its share of awesomeness
