I don't think the problem here is that he is advertising for another product, rather that he is advertising the Wii, I am confident that his terms of agreement would forbid him on that.
I say that because Jerry lambart has appeared in some movies, like Bad teacher ( 2011 ), no lawsuit over that.
So the problem here is that he is appearing in an ad which is essentially also promoting the Wii, I find Sony's concern on that very legitimate.
I don't see why everyone is going ballistic on Sony, I mean no one here knows the TOA the actor and Sony have, so why are we making comments as if we're certified lawyers or something. :/

Obviously their interests should be protected but here is the thing, if i buy a ps3 version im essentially getting a psvita version i SHOULD be able to give it to anyone i want, that 1 copy for the psvita version is MINE, i should be able to gift it.
Sony should not dictate whom i choose to give what i pay for, i payed for it, its mine, i should be able to give it away at my will).
