I sorta agree with you...However it's not MS you have to worry about it's the shareholders. Also they did invest a lot in telecommunications in the past (maybe more than their gaming division) and cut there losses. I know MS is in it to win it but enough is enough.

DJ i totally agree with you. Problem is try and get those "die hard xbox gamers" that who always seem to be in denial. For some reason xbox gamers always think MS investors care more about their needs than money...Im sure MS investors always love losing money just so xbox gamers want competition for Sony.

It wasn't just about the $1billion hit MS took cause thats not a lot to them (somewhat). Still it's all about the image the xbox has created...it loses trust from consumers...I mean lets say if a company has to recall a product..first thing comes to mind is damn they made a unreliable product...For example Ford Explorers have suffered from it and many others...Either way it wasn't just about the $1billion put aside.

EA did jump the wrong horse and now they're jumping on the wii a little too late....The gaming industry knows the wii will slow down in the market...EA jumping on the wii wagon doesn't even guarantee them sales...Problem with EA is they look at that scenario...they did with the psp with a decent install base and now look at games like ncaa08 and nascar08 won't be on the psp cause it didn't sell. They're going to jump ships a little too late...And next gen gamers especially with the PS3's ins...

HD-Dvd is DONE....Blu-ray is clearly the winner here.

Jason my friend no hard feelings but you must be Amish...Catch up my friend...I know new technology is pricey but please don't try and stick up for outdated stuff. We all here at N4g would like to start a bake sale so you can get some new stuff

Razer you try and represent the HD-dvd/Xbox camp like Johnny Cochran and OJ...You're a buffoon if you think HD-DVD is even going to come close in this war....I believe it's only ONE major movie studio that's holding off to jump ships to blu-ray...Razer you are something else my friend....Justify the underdog...Why is it you have it our for Sony ? Do you need a "Sony" hug ?

Let's not kick them while they're down...I'm sure MS shareholders care so much more for their gamers then money (rolling eyes)...But Note to MS shareholders: who cares if you guys lose so much money...we need you to stick around ! Please please please give me more bad hardware so we have something to stick up for in our lonely lives.

Didn't the ship sink in the end of the movie "Perfect Storm" ? I hear Peter Moore was called George Clooney, and J Allard was Mark Wahlberg around MS....

Let me guess to....The Ford Echo is going to make a big comeback on sales in the automobile industry ? What part don't you get...the 360 is just UNRELIABLE and isn't a well built machine...even MS KNOWS IT !!!!!! Please check yourself into the Xbox Anonymous...First step of overcoming your problem is to admit it...Dream on my friend...Sticking up for the xbox is like sticking up for the molesting uncle who's coming out of prison...quit giving it second chances...

It's so funny how these xbox fans stick up for a bad product. Even MS investors know how lousy it is. Aussie Aussie Aussie Oy Oy Oy Oy....Aussie Oy...All i know is those MS shareholder meetings are asking MS to stick at what they're good at...is Software NOT HARDWARE ! I've said it before and i'll say it again...the Xbox division is like the Quarterback (Ryan Leaf) MS invested in and hasn't performed. They have to cut their losses ...
I do agree that there will be a lot of great ga...

I bet those best buy, circuit city, etc...associates don't care much on trying to sell that xbox system...they make a lot of money selling extended warranty...there goes that now....hmmmm i don't think this strategy is going to get retailers motivated on a machine....either way though well done MS....I think thats great they are "taking care of their customers"...Too bad your shareholders probably think different....It's a matter of time when they have to disclose the failure rate.....

Not hear to sound like xbox fans but I think MS did a great job in June. But keep in mind, it was july when MS announced the 3 year warranty and had sales spike, then sony dropped the price for the ps3. I am willing to bet the ps3 outsold the 360 in july....Good month MS !

CDzie one you sound like Peter Moore..."things break right" or "This stuff happens" ??? HAHAHHAA...seriously check into "Bad Hardware Anonymous"...Admitting to a problem is the first step. Thats what xbox owners need to do

Lets hear this excuse xbox fans....here we go....Let me guess the guy who posted the article on kotaku works for sony ? Or he just isn't using the xbox 360 machine correctly ? He probably has it out for MS ? Let me hear your answers like every xbox answer.."It will be okay once halo 2.5 comes out"...Peter Moore you're a very smart man !....If and when MS discloses their failure rate...it's game over...Don't be surprised a court makes them disclose those numbers with these class ac...

I like to compare Microsoft to a successful sports team...They invested in the Xbox division like a football team did in a Quarterback getting paid a lot of money that hasn't produced. Or a basketball player that hasn't lived up to its end....The team (MS shareholders) have been asking for the Xbox division to perform and show something-anything...and hasn't and likely won't in the future. There is a BIG reason why Xbox focused on 07 only...it's because they know they're "all in" ...

I always read this comments and realized that xbox fans are defensive knowing that MS has built a bad system. Bill Gates himself can announce that shareholders are pulling the plug on the gaming division (which they will) and xbox fans still be in denial...All signs point to it and when i list them xbox fans always have to justify the xbox system...
Signs to shareholders pulling the plug:
1. NO PROFIT and NOTHING BUT LOSS
2. BAD IMAGE ON THE XBOX BRAND NOW WITH DEFAULTY ...

"6" reason why xbox is in trouble ????????....it's more like 60 reasons why the xbox is in trouble....I seriously hate bursting you "xbox fanboys" bubbles but this can and will be the last machine MS puts together in the gaming division...mark my words !

You claim sony fans to bag on this xbox machine like it's a conspiracy...whats it going to take for you to admit that it was not a well built machine and that MS doesn't belong in the hardware business...they know it !!!....this will be their last system...investors will make sure of it...it's obvious why MS focused on 07 games at e3...you really think MS is thinking of the future for the xbox ? Quit your denial like most xbox owners...i am a former xbox owner that is PISSED off that they la...

Here we go...this is where these Xbots begin to justify an excuse for this crappy machine...let it go...let the excuses keep pouring in...try explaining it to the shareholders who will be asking MS to pull the plug on the xbox division....it was fun while it lasted....Sega and Xbox are going fishing !
