There is no single player BUT there will be a story mode for the multiplayer. The game is also online only which will require xbl gold. No split screen co-op. There has been rumors of the game having 16 maps which is fantastic for a multiplayer only game. I've played the alpha and it was amazing. And yes the game is full retail of $59.99
